Harvey Hiers, 71, of Ray City, died Wednesday July 3, 2019 at his residence.

He was born May 10, 1948 in Tift County to the late Harry Hiers and the Lillian Elizabeth Tucker Hiers. He was a farm laborer and was preceded in death by his wife: Barbara Ann Hiers who died in 2003. He was also preceded in death by 5 sisters: Mildred Castleberry, Louise Lane, Dorothy Gray, Martha Skinner and Elizabeth Taylor.

He is survived by a brother: Ronnie Hiers of Nashville; companion: Helen Louise Ray of Ray City; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will honor his request for cremation. A visitation will be held Tuesday July 9, 2019 from 6 to 8 PM in the funeral home.
