Mamie Hilda Gaskins Schultz, 87, of Nashville, formerly of Jacksonville, FL died Monday December 18, 2023 at SGMC in Valdosta.

She was born November 1,1936 in Berrien County to the late Aulie Gaskins and the late Emma Mae Fountain Gaskins. She was a retired accountant and auditor for Atlantic National Bank, First Union Bank, Wachovia Bank and Wells Fargo all in Jacksonville, FL. She loved her family, children and grandchildren. She enjoyed fishing, her flowers and was known for all her hats. She was the widow of Jack Douglas Schultz who died in 1992.  She was also preceded in death by a grandson: Ashley Back; brother: Jack Gaskins and brother and sister-in-law: J. Bart Gaskins and Marjorie Gaskins.

She is survived by her daughter: Patsy Back (Mike Duggan) of Nashville; son: Jack Schultz (Kelly) of Nashville; 2 grandsons: Joel Back of Nashville and Blake Back (Emily) of Nashville; great grandsons: Jace Back and Fischer Blue; great granddaughter: Dixie Blue; sister-in-law: Kate Gaskins; brother-in-law: Jeff Schultz (Valerie) and Joe Schultz; numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be held Friday December 22, 2023 at 2 PM in the Empire cemetery with the Rev. Mark Swain officiating. Visitation is Thursday from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM in the funeral home.
