J P Roberts' Obituary
J.P. Roberts, 86, of Alapaha died Sunday November 22, 2015 at his residence.
He was born May 25, 1929 in Berrien County to the late Daniel Roberts and the late Rebecca Mobley. He was a retired truck driver with the Berrien County Road Department and a member of New Griffin Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Winston, Wilson and M.F. Roberts; a sister: Wilma Lott.
He is survived by his companion: Lorine Pafford of Alapaha; 2 sisters: Toni Wright of Tifton and Grace Melton of Batesville, AR.; 3 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday November 25, 2015 at 11:00 AM in New Griffin Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Sim Youngblood and Rev. Billy Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in Flat Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service.
