Jack David Donaldson, 79, of Nashville died Sunday November 19, 2017 at his residence.
He was born November 3, 1938 in Calhoun County, Alabama to the late Henry Gladen Donaldson and the late Annie Ruth Pointer Donaldson. He was retired owner/operator of Nashville Recycle and a very hard working man. He attended Flat Creek Church. He was preceded in death by his wife: Mary Alice Donaldson; son Timmy Donaldson; 2 brothers: Harvey and Gladen Donaldson; and a sister: Alice Donaldson Celik.
He is survived by his daughter: Malinda Mathis of Nashville; son: Brent Donaldson of Nashville; 4 grandchildren: Brandon Donaldson, Josh (Ali) Donaldson, Victoria Mathis and Rachel Mathis; 3 great grandchildren: Baxley Donaldson, Piper Donaldson and Gannon Mathis; sister: Omie (John) Tackett of Oxford, AL; brother: Dale (Brenda) Donaldson of Anniston, AL; and a special person: Sheila Wright Giddens of Nashville.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday November 22, 2017 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Mickey Lindsey officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday 1-3 PM.
