Obituary

William Jackson "Jack" Roberts, 78, of Ray City, died Friday May 29, 2020 at his residence.

He was born June 14, 1941 in Berrien County to the late Bennie Roberts and the late Novella Griffin Roberts. He retired from the J.H. Harvey Company as a produce manager after 30 years of service. For many years he truly loved working on lawn mowers and helping his friends. He was an avid fisherman and served in the United States Army. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Juanita Jackson and Betty Jo Giddens; brother: Billy Roberts.

He is survived by his wife: Janice Royals Roberts of Ray City; 3 sons: Robbie (Rachel) Roberts of Nashville, Lamar Roberts of Nashville and David Roberts of Alapaha; 5 step  daughters: Lynn (Ricky) Ford of Ray City, Lorrie (John) Allchin of Nashville, Rev. Debbie Cone of Albany, Angela Cone of Ray City and Rhonda (Jim) Brown of Nashville; 2 sisters: Pearl Bailey of Ray City and Lila Mae Ford of Ray City; brother: Jimmy Roberts of Ontario, Canada; 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be held Sunday May 31, 2020 at 10 am in the New Ramah Cemetery with the Rev. Debbie Cone officiating. A public viewing will be held Saturday from 6 to 7 pm at the funeral home. Memorials are requested to the New Ramah Cemetery Fund c/o  Elizabeth Skinner.
