Henry Jacob Morton, 82, of Nashville, died Saturday September 2, 2023 at Pruitt Health Care in Valdosta.

He was born July 29, 1941 in Tift County to the late Louie B. Morton and the late Myrtle Ivella Windsor Morton. He was a plumber and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was preceded in death by 2 daughters: Sandy Morton and Tammy Faye Brooks; son: Randy Morton.

He is survived by his wife: Glenna Jo Durrance Morton of Nashville; 2 daughters: Gwendolyn Denise (Richard) Ray of Ray City and Penny Kay (Roger) Nugent of Alapaha; son: Timothy Ray (Guille) Morton of Nashville; 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday September 6, 2023 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Vernon Hughes officiating. Interment will follow in the Flat Creek cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
