Jacqueline "Jackie" Bently, 91 of Nashville died Sunday September 15, 2019 at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, VA.

She was born October 20, 1927 in Abbeville, AL to the late Ousley Lester and the late Mary Yates Lester.  She was a homemaker and retired loan officer with BBT.  She was a member of Nashville United Methodist Church where she was most faithful, having served as a nursery and youth worker, member of Circle "G" and very diligent in her attendance.  The adult Sunday School Class  had been named the Jackie Bently Class in her honor.  She was also a member of the Nashville Chapter, Order  of the Eastern Star.  She was the widow of Cecil D. Bently who died in 2012 and also preceded in death by a sister: Betty Cawhon.

She is survived by her son: Charles "Woody" (Michelle) Bently of Newport News, VA; 2 sisters: Ellie Davis of Nashville and Jean Moore of Lake Park; 4 grandsons: Jody Bently , Danny Polyson, Chris Polyson and Steven Polyson.

Funeral services will be held Saturday September 21, 2019 at 11 am in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Addington officiating.  Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday 6-8 PM.
