Obituary

Jacquline Giddens, 82, of the West Berrien Community, died Sunday June 2, 2024 at her residence.

She was born March 19, 1942 in Berrien County to the late George Lisenby and the late Mary Ida Walker Lisenby. She was a homemaker and worked at the Walmart Distribution Center in Tifton for 17 years. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church and taught Sunday School for 60 years. She loved her family, friends and her church. She was the widow of Julian Lamar Giddens who died in 2012 and was also preceded in death by a sister: Joyce Hall; 2 brothers: Larry Lisenby and Raymond Lisenby; 2 daughters-in-law: Vickey Giddens and Amanda Giddens.

She is survived by 3 sons: Wayman Giddens of West Berrien; Marlon (Debbie) Giddens of Sparks and Ed Giddens of West Berrien; sister: Linda Bracewell of Tifton; 6 grandchildren: Brandon (Dana) Giddens of Glennville, Tara (Mike) Lee of Nashville, Brittany (Shane) Warren of Nashville, Caitlyn Giddens of Nashville, Madelyn Giddens of West Berrien and Gregory Giddens of West Berrien; 7 great grandchildren: Abby Harper, Zoey Giddens, Grayson Lee, Tinsley Giddens, Lawson Giddens, Lily Warren  and Nelly Warren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday June 6, 2024 at 2 PM in the Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM in the funeral home.
