James Barney "J.B." Browning, 79, of Nashville died Monday March 28, 2016 at his residence.
He was born October 18, 1936 in Berrien County to the late Grover Page Browning and the late Nancy Exum Browning. He was a tractor mechanic and retired from Dickson International Tractor Company as the service manager where he was known as "The Tractor Doctor." He was a member of Rowetown Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a son: Robbin Browning; 3 brothers: Buck, Nelson, and Hubert Browning.
He is survived by his wife: Lorean Ray Browning of Nashville; 3 daughters: Cynthia (Everett) Pfeiffer of Pensacola, FL, Becky (Art) Bradley of Nahunta, and Peggy Rendon of Nashville; 2 sisters: Effie Lee Vickers of Alapaha and Loudell Williams of Omega; 4 brothers: Rev. Jesse Lee Browning of Reidsville, Vinson Browning of Nashville, Russell Browning of Hazlehurst and Robert Browning of Alapaha; 11 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday April 2, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Jesse Browning and the Rev. Mike Bennett officiating. Visitation is Friday from 6 to 8 PM.
