James Randall Carter, 82, of the West Berrien Community, died Thursday March 4, 2021 in the Tift Regional Medical Center.

He was born November 6, 1938 in Berrien County to the late Louis Everette Carter and the late Gladys Browning Carter. He was a retired boat manufacturer, owned and operated Sea Lion Marine and was a true "jack of all trades". He was a member of Vickers Church and was preceded in death by a son: Randall Regan Carter who died in 1980 and a sister: Kathy Connell who died in 2020.

He is survived by his wife: Ruby McKinney Carter of West Berrien; son: Randy Carter of West Berrien; 2 sisters: Clarice Roberts of Alapaha and Janice Roquemore of Lakeland; 4 granddaughters: Meagan, Chelsea, Breana and Laura Lea; 3 great grandsons, 2 great granddaughters and another  great granddaughter on the way.

Funeral services will be held Sunday March 7, 2021 at 2 PM in Vickers Church with the Rev. Freddie Stone and Rev. Jackie Connell officiating. Interment will follow in the Vickers Cemetery. Visitation is Saturday from 6 to 8 PM.
