James David Coleman, 59, of Lake Park, died Friday March 14, 2014 at the VA Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida.

He was born September 1, 1954 in Bolivar County, Mississippi to the late J.D. Coleman and the late Ethel Pauline Lucas. He was a retired Supply Sergeant United States Army with 24 years of service and of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife: Dorothy Mae Hightower Coleman of Lake Park; son: William Shane (Lori) Coleman of Lake Village, AR; 3 daughters: Meachell (Ricky) Coleman Adams-Trimm of Nashville; Paula Lenora (Tommy) Sullivan of Tifton and Kathleen (Adam) Smith of Lake Park; 2 sisters: Janice O'Berry and Wanda Blackmore both of Nashville; 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday March 20, 2014 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Long Bridge Cemetery with military honors.

Visitation is Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM.
