James Hansel "Hank" Nix, 86, of Nashville died Tuesday March 13, 2012 in the Tift Regional Medical Center.
He was born March 4, 1926 in Berrien County to the late Elbert Nix and the late Maxie Harper. He was a retired used car dealer with Nix & Son Auto Sales and a member of the Nashville First Baptist Church. He was an Army veteran of WWII. He was preceded in death by his wife: Bonnie Lewis Nix, brother-in-law: Don Haskins, and a sister: Ouida Carter.
He is survived by his daughter: Rhonda (Andrew) Smith of Lake Park; 2 sons: Randy (Yvonne) Nix of Magnolia Springs, Al and Ricky (Marcy) Nix of Pavo; 3 sisters: Mary Beth (Paul) Harris, Juanell Haskins, and Sue (Donald) Powell all of Nashville; 2 brothers: Bobby (Bonnie) Nix and Russell (Ann) Nix all of Nashville; 5 grandchildren: Judd, Heidi, Brandi, Mandy, and Kealon; 5 great grandchildren: Abbeyglen, Waverley, Camille, Brady, and Harris.
Funeral services will be held Friday March 16, 2012 at 11 AM in the Nashville First Baptist Church with the Rev. Stanley Luke and the Rev. Willie Heath officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday from 6 to 8 PM.
