James Harold "Jim" Doran, 74, of Nashville died Thursday October 19, 2017 in South Regional Hospital in Riverdale, GA.

He was born May 8, 1943 in Detroit, MI to the late Harry Clayton Doran and the late Ida Shoemaker Doran. He was a retired commercial construction worker and veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps. He was preceded in death by a son: Joseph Doran; and a brother: Richard Doran.

He is survived by his wife: Sarah Starling Doran of Nashville; 2 daughters: Dawn McClerren of Murfreesboro, IL and Tina (James) Fender of Ray City; 2 sons: James H. Doran, Jr. of Tucson, AZ and Jason (Patricia) Doran of Chicago, IL; 2 sisters: Helen Brown of Bristol, FL and Audrey Booth of Murfreesboro, IL; 8 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday October 24, 2017 at 1 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Bennett Officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service. In accordance with his wishes, cremation will follow the service.
