James Oscar Jones, 76, of Ray City, died Friday July 9, 2021 in the South Georgia Medical Center.

He was born September 28, 1944 in Norfolk, VA to the late Taylor Jones and the late Gertrude Ludy Jones. He was a retired fireman with the city of Stuart, FL for 24 years, loved to hunt, fish, and cook. He was a member of the Tropical Farms Baptist Church in Stuart, FL and was preceded in death by a sister: Pauline Jones.

He is survived by his son: Scott (Caitlin) Jones of Ft. Pierce, FL; daughter: Collette (Chester) Mann of Ft. Pierce, FL; brother: Kenny Jones of Nashville; 4 grandchildren: Tyler Jones, Tucker Jones, Hudson Jones and Aubree Jones.

His family will honor his request for cremation and no formal services will be held.
