James Lamar McMillan, 72, of Lake Park, died Friday, July 10, 2026, at Emory Midtown Hospital in Atlanta.

He was born February 20, 1954, in Fitzgerald, Georgia to the late Lawton Ray McMillan and Leola Luke McMillan. He retired from Delphi/General Motors and was dedicated to his family, enjoyed fishing, riding around, loved life, liked talking and laughing. He is preceded in death by his sister: Sandra Kay Parrish, and a brother: Quincy Wayne McMillan.

He is survived by his wife: Jana McMillan of Lake Park; sons and daughter: Jamie McMillan of Bainbridge, Jena (Jeff) Reames of Valdosta; Jordan (Melanie) McMillan of Marietta; grandchildren: Alex, Dalton, Jaden and Adleigh McMillan, Emma & Jeffrey Reames, Reed & Aaron McMillan; great grandchildren: Skylar, Lawson, Judson, and Ellie McMillan; sister: Shirley (Walt) Durden of Alapaha; 3 brothers: Danny (Dianne) McMillan of Daytona Beach, FL ; Bill McMillan of Jacksonville, FL; Perry (Marianne) McMillan of Ocala, FL; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at 10:30 AM in the St. Luke cemetery with Rev. Michael Bennett officiating. Visitation is thirty minutes prior to service in the cemetery.
