Obituary

James Oswell Norman Maxwell, 91, of Tallahassee, Florida, died Friday December 31, 2021 in the Center Point Rehabilitation Center in Tallahassee.

He was born March 6, 1930 in Arlington, GA to the late Norman Maxwell and the late Mary Lou Brunson. He was the retired owner/manager of the Maxwell Store in Tallahassee, a member of the Monticello Florida First Baptist Church and a US Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict.

He is preceded in death by his wife: Mary Ann Carr Maxwell who died in 2018. He is survived by 3 daughters:  Kim (Jon) Baker of Kinston, NC, Kristy (Mike) Parker of Valdosta and Beth (Jimmy) Garrett of Tallahassee, Fl; 2 sons Brian Maxwell of Charlotte, NC and Jon Maxwell of Tallahassee, Fl: sister, Mary Ellie Pitts of Phenix City, Al: 10 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday January 5, 2022 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Stokes officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday one hour prior to the services.  Memorials are requested to any veteran's organization.
