Obituary

James Edward "Red" Plair, 66, of Lakeland, died Saturday June 15, 2013 in the Louis Smith Memorial Hospital.

He was born May 22, 1947 in Lowndes County to the late Wendell Plair and the late Charlotte Marion Carver Lee. He was the owner of Red's Flower Shop.

He is survived by his wife: Kitty Brogdon Plair of Lakeland; 2 daughters: Sissie (Todd) Tait of Hahira and Tena (Rodney) Walker of Nashville; son: Jimmy (Lisa) Plair of Ray City; 2 sisters: LaDonna Shackleford of Adel and Wilma Flowers of Nashville; step- father: Otha Lee of Alapaha; 3 grandchildren: Mallory Canary, Lauren Plair and Lee Plair.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday June 18, 2013 at 4 PM in the First Baptist Church of Ray City with the Rev. John B. Carroll officiating. Interment will follow in the Beaver Dam Cemetery. Visitation is Monday from 7 to 9 PM at Music Funeral Services in Lakeland.
