Obituary

James D. Royals, 96, of Nashville died Tuesday November 17, 2020 in the Fellowship Home.

He was born June 16, 1924 in Lanier County to the late Willie Letha Royals and the late Edna Hughes Royals. He was employed with Sears as a appliance repairman for 15 years before owning Royals Small Appliance Repair Service.  He was a member and deacon at Riverside Missionary Baptist Church. He was an Army veteran of WWII, loved his family and his work.  He was the widower of Mildred Gaskins Royals who died in 2006; he was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law: Betty Royals; sister: Lucile Gaskins; five brothers: Murel, Letha, Winston, Wyman and Wonnie Royals.

He is survived by a daughter: Deborah Royals of Alapaha; two sons: Donald Royals of Nashville and Billy Royals of Tifton; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday November 19, 2020 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Royals officiating.  Interment will follow in Nashville Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
