James Ellis Sanders, 68, of Nashville, died Thursday August 11, 2022 at his residence.

He was born September 17, 1953 in Lake City, FL to the late Samuel "Doc" Weeks and the late Estelle Lavenia Clemons Sanders. He retired with the Southeast Toyota Port Processing in Jacksonville, FL after 41 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, watching Gator football games and loved his grandchildren. He was a veteran in the United States Army and was preceded in death by a sister: Bobbie Jean Singletary; brother: Henry Sanders.

He is survived by his wife: Gail Roberts Sanders of Nashville; 3 daughters: Dana (Wayne) Staggs of Jacksonville, FL, Amy (Clyde) Sirmans of Ray City and Rachel (Kenneth) Psota of Wildwood, NJ; son: Travis (Alix) Sanders of Rochester, MN; 5 grandchildren: Kameron, Kayden, Phebe, Connor and River "Doll Baby"; 3 sisters: Nancy McMahel of Glen St Mary's, FL, Edna Hooks of Douglas and Julia (Steve) Simpson of Callahan, FL; brother: Art Sanders of Jacksonville, FL; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday August 16, 2022 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Clyde Sirmans officiating. Interment will follow in the Nashville Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Tuesday one hour prior to the service.
