Obituary

Jan Harrelson, 81, of Nashville, died Wednesday August 17, 2022 in the Langdale Hospice House.

She was born April 6, 1941 in Berrien County to the late Paul (Margaret) Goodin and the late Ida Pearl Gaskins (Max) Simmons. She retired from Nashville Mills in the accounting department and worked for the Berrien County Board of Education as a paraprofessional for a number of years. She was a member of the Nashville United Methodist Church, loved her family, cooking, baseball and Georgia football. She was the widow of Russell Haywood Harrelson who died in 2007. She was also preceded in death by a brother Delbert Simmons and a step brother: Jerome Goodin.

She is survived by 2 daughters: Debbie (Bill) Campbell of Pooler and Susan Harrelson of Nashville; son: Rusty (Kellie) Harrelson of Tifton; 5 grandchildren: Chris (Dana) Wilkerson, Adam (Heather) Wilkerson, Drew Harrelson, Kaysie Harrelson and Maggie Harrelson; 4 great grandchildren: Paylin, Drake, Emerie Ann and Adaleigh; step sister: Joy Ireland of Palatka, FL; step brother: Earl (Faye) Goodin of Orange Park, FL; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Sunday August 21, 2022 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Dwight Bishop and the Rev. Brian Gay officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview cemetery. Visitation is Saturday from 6 to 8 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Langdale Hospice House.
