Jane Idelia Jones, 84, of Nashville, died Tuesday April 30, 2019 in the Berrien Nursing Center.

She was born July 10, 1934 in Irwin County to the late Elmon Coy Barber and the late Myrtice Ellen Clark Barber.  She was a homemaker and a member of Springhead Baptist Church in Cook County.  She was the widow of Henry Clark Jones who died in 1997 and was also preceded in death by a son-in-law: William Herring who died in 2017.

She is survived by her daughter: Cynthia Herring of Nashville; son: Lamar (Faye) Jones of Nashville; sister: Judy Hughey of Sylvester; brother: Gene Barber of Nashville; 4 grandchildren: Scott Herring, David Herring, Jason (Kaycee) Jones and Keri Jones; 2 great grandchildren: Allison Herring and Emma Jones.

Funeral services will be held Thursday May 2, 2019 at 11 AM in Nashville First Baptist Church with the Rev. Joey Taylor and the Rev. Keith Stewart officiating.  Interment will follow in the Vickers Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday 6-8 PM.
