Janice Ray Sanderson Gaskins, 81, of Alapaha died Tuesday March 5, 2019 at Sears Manor Nursing Home in Brunswick, GA.

She was born June 21, 1937 in Iuka, MS to the late Charlie Sanderson and the late Birdie Kennedy Sanderson.  She was a homemaker, retired assistant office manager with Storer Cable and former clerk for the Town of Alapaha.  She was a member of Alapaha Baptist Church.  She was the widow of Lincoln Gaskins who died August 2, 2018.

She is survived by her daughter: Darlene (Norman) Bruce of Kingsland; 2 grandchildren: Ryan (Christina) Bruce and Katherine Bruce; great granddaughter: Wren Bruce; sister: Betty Jo Sanderson of  Alapaha.

Funeral services will be held Saturday March 9, 2019 at 3 PM in Alapaha Baptist Church with the Rev. Darryl McHan and  Rev. Robby Rowe officiating.  Interment will follow in Fletcher Cemetery.  Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the service .
