Janis Marie Jones, 67, of Alapaha, died Thursday December 20, 2012 at her residence.
She was born August 9, 1945 in Kansas City, Kansas. She was a homemaker and member of the Nashville First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a daughter: Michelle Jones who died in 2011.
She is survived by her husband: Michael Wells Jones of Alapaha; 2 daughters: Delora Ann Gruver of Port Richie, FL and Ashley Jones of Riverside, CA; 2 brothers: Chucky Branan and Kenny Branan both of Tampa, FL; 3 grandchildren: Darby Jones, Scotty Gruver and John Gruver; great granddaughter: Kaylee Gruver.
The family will honor her request for cremation. A memorial service will be held Sunday December 23, 2012 at 2 PM in the Nashville First Baptist Church.
