Mrs. Jean Owens, 85, of Enigma, Georgia passed away in her home on Saturday evening, August 8th, 2020, surrounded by the love of her family.

Mrs. Jean lived a full life. She was a believer in Jesus Christ and loved her family. Never hesitating to tell them and others how proud she was of them. She was a military wife for 23 years. She lived and traveled in Europe and North America.

After raising her family, Mrs. Jean studied and earned a degree in interior design and worked as an interior designer in Jacksonville, Florida. After retiring, she moved with her family back to her childhood hometown of Enigma, where she has resided for the past 25 years.  Mrs. Jean was preceded in death by her mother, Valarie, and stepfather, Damien Painter, and father, Joe Swain, sisters Frances and Pat.

She is survived by her husband and love of her life of 67 years, O. Dee Owens, her daughters Diane and Teresa, granddaughters, Ashley Dee, Sarah Jean Swain, and Katie Leigh Dover, grandson-in-law, Andrew Swain, and great-grandchildren, Leila Dee and Beau Anderson Owen Swain. As well as being survived by, her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Geraldine Owens, her special cousins, Llewellyn and Linda Roberts, and Yvetta Kimmel and she shared a special bond with her niece, Shirley Holland. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other cousins whom she loved dearly.

Funeral services will be held Thursday August 13, 2020 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Pete Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Ridge Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday one hour prior to the service.
