Jeanette Harrell Shaw, 83, of Ray City, died Friday December 17,2021 at the Fellowship Home in Valdosta.

She was born March 21,1938 in Adel, GA to the late Benjamin Harrell and the late Lois Watson Harrell. She was a homemaker and operated Shaw Nursery with her husband for over 25 years. She loved to sew and was known for her wedding cakes. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ray City and was the widow of Otis Mitchell Shaw who died in 2009. She was also preceded in death by a sister: Martha Harrell Barnes and a brother: John Harrell.

She is survived by her daughter: Donna (William) Barker of Ray City; son: Gary Shaw of Tifton; brother: David (Debbie) Harrell of Franklin, TN; 3 grandchildren: Gary Mitchell (Brooke) Shaw, Jr, Hue Barker and Abby Barker; great grandson: Rhett Shaw; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be held Monday December 20,2021 at 11 AM in the Shaw Family cemetery with the Rev. Robbie Peay officiating. Visitation is Sunday from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to the First Baptist Church of Ray City.
