Obituary

Jerry Hiram Griner, 83, of Nashville died Thursday July 16, 2020 at South Georgia Medical Center.

He was born May 21, 1937  in Berrien County to the late John Albert Griner and the late Stella Parr Griner.  He retired as Public Works Superintendant for the City of Nashville, a  former police office for the City of Nashville and a former Berrien County Sheriff Deputy.  He loved his Kubota, fishing and his dog.  He was preceded in death by his son: Chris Griner and a brother: John Albert Griner, Jr.

He is survived by his wife: Helen Griner of Nashville; daughter: Kay Townsend (Richard Brown) of Enigma; son: Jerry Lee (Kim) Griner of Nashville; two grandchildren: Tanner Griner and Tori Griner.

Private family service will be held Sunday July 19, 2020 in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. R. T. Castleberry officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. No public visitation will be held.
