Jerry Allen Kreager, Sr., 87, of Nashville died Monday June 24, 2024 at his residence.

He was born August 3, 1936 in Columbus, OH to the late Albert Hayes Kreager and the late Hettie Marie Petty Kreager. He served with the Eleventh Airborne Division (Para Troopers) from 1954 thru 1957. He graduated with an Associate Degree from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in 1965 and served for 47 years as a Florida and Georgia licensed funeral director and embalmer.  He was also a licensed life and health insurance agent. He worked with Stowers Funeral Home in Brandon, FL, A.P. Boza Funeral Home in Tampa, FL, and Roberts Funeral Homes in Ocala and Dunnellon, Fl. He was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed taking care of his bird Sonny. He was preceded in death by his wife: Shizue (Susie) Kubota Kreager; a sister: Ellen Theis; and a brother-in-Law: Don Lewis.

He is survived by his son: Allen (Joanne) Kreager of Nashville; granddaughter: Kristen Kreager of Nashville; 3 sisters: Nancy Lewis of Dunnellon, FL, Linda Timmons of Virgina, and Ann Nola of Alabama.

Funeral services will be held Saturday June 29, 2024 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with Dr. Andy Solomon officiating. Interment will follow in the Nashville Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Saturday one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Memorials are requested to a church or charity of choosing.
