Jerry Roger Whitley, 80, of Enigma, died Sunday May 28, 2023 at the residence of his daughter in Winder.

He was born September 24, 1942 in Berrien County to the late Robert Lee Whitley and the late Doris Shaw Whitley. He was a retired electrician with Georgia Power, member of the IBEW 613, member and deacon of the Enigma Congregational Church and served in the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his wife: Delma Janice Sumner Whitley; son: David Roger Whitley; 3 sisters: Linda Taylor, Annell Bradford and Ruby Gray; brother: Ronald Whitley.

He is survived by his daughter: Terri (Joshua) Rigby of Winder; 2 grandchildren: Caleb Rigby and Whitley Rigby; sister: Jo Ann Knight of Ochlocknee; 7 brothers: Bud Whitley, Terrell Whitley, Don Whitley and Carroll Whitley all of Alapaha, Clifton Whitley of Tifton; Waymon Whitley and Earl Whitley both of Nashville; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday June 3, 2023 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeff Abell officiating. Interment will follow in the Flat Creek cemetery. Visitation is Friday from 6 to 8 PM in the funeral home.
