Jewell Baldree, 88, of Nashville, died Friday February 23, 2024 in the Berrien Nursing Center.

She was born December 14, 1935 in Brooks County to the late Jeptha McLeod and the late Florence Corley McLeod. She was a homemaker and member of the Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist Church. She was the widow of Curtis Franklin "Frank" Baldree who died in 2004 and was also preceded in death by a son: Wendell Baldree, 3 brothers: Donald McLeod, Murray McLeod and Ray McLeod: 3 sisters:  her twin Jetty Lawrence, Audrey Taylor and Catherine Graves.

She is survived by 2 granddaughters: Sara (Rance) Harrod of Nashville and Rana Parramore; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday February 27, 2024 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. J.W. Dukes III officiating. Interment will be held in the Evergreen cemetery in Brook County. Visitation is Tuesday one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist Church.
