James Barney "Jim" Gurganious, 79, of Nashville, died Friday April 8, 2022 at his residence.

He was born September 12, 1942 in New Smyrna Beach, FL to the late Walter Gurganious and the late Mary Norris Gurganious. He was a police officer in Belle Glade, FL for several years and retired as a produce manager with Wal Mart. He was preceded in death by a brother and 2 sisters.

He is survived by his wife: Janelle Compton Irey Gurganious of Nashville; 3 daughters: Zara Gurganious of Rapid City, IA, Julie Gurganious of Cheyenne, WY and Michelle Colon of Nashville; 4 sons: Jay (Lorrie) Gurganious of Savannah, Louis Berg of Nashville, William Berg of Houston, TX and Michael Irey of Clewiston, FL; 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

The family will honor his request for cremation. A memorial service will be held Friday April 22, 2022 at 6 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home. Visitation is one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
