Jimmy Carroll Garner, 77, of Ray City, died Saturday May 30, 2020 at his residence.
He was born August 11, 1942 in Berrien County to the late William Austin "Bill" Garner and the late Virginia Knight Garner. He was a retired commercial framing contractor and a member of the First Baptist Church of Ray City. He truly loved life, enjoyed laughter, cherished his family and many friends. He was an avid supporter of all Berrien County sports and a self taught musician on the piano. He was preceded in death by a brother: Carlton Garner and a brother-in-law: George Skinner.
He is survived by his wife: Darlene Nash Garner of Ray City; 3 daughters: Amy Garner of Marietta, April Garner and Allison Crews both of Nashville; 3 sons: Ray (Michelle) Garner of Nashville, Patrick (Samantha) Garner of West Berrien and Ryan Garner of Ray City; sister: Elizabeth Skinner of Ray City; brother: Elliott (Marjorie) Garner of Ray City; 12 grandchildren: Austin (McKenzie) Garner, Maebry (Clint) Paulk, Catie Garner, Marly Garner, Mary Beth Garner, Brandon Smith, Jeremy Smith, Kiley Smith, Sadie Garner, Gavin Crews, Klayton Crews and Addy Crews; 6 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside funeral service will be held Tuesday June 2, 2020 at 11 AM in the Beaver Dam Cemetery with the Rev. Robbie Peay and Pastor Raymond Cason officiating. A public viewing will be held Monday from 6 to 7 PM in the funeral home.
