Jimmy Lee Vowell, 66, of Nashville died Tuesday November 22, 2016 in Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany.
He was born August 17, 1950 in Jackson, MS to the late Paul Revere Vowell and the late Willie Warren. He was a self employed appliance repairman and a handyman. He was preceded in death by the father who raised him: Isiah Warren; 2 sisters: Nora Mae Warren and Ruthie Geraldine Grimm; 2 grandchildren: Nichole Harper and Laiylynn Green.
He is survived by his wife: Melodie McAvoy Vowell of Nashville; 4 daughters: Lynn (Dennis) Gaskins of Nashville, Crystal (Tony) Harper of Nashville, Michelle (Brad) Exum of Nashville, and Lynzee Lawson of Nashville; 3 sons: Jimmy Vowell, Jr. of Nashville, Chris (Amanda) McAvoy of Nashville, and Justin (Kim) Vowell of Nashville; 3 sisters: Pauline Parrish of Tampa, FL, Shirley (Carlo) Beam of Valdosta, and Brenda Salanga of Valdosta; 2 brothers: Earl Wayne Breazeale of Valdosta and Paul Lamar (Nell) Vowell of Ray City; 17 grandchildren, a great grandson, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will held Saturday November 26, 2016 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Scotty Mathis officiating. Interment will follow in Guthrie Cemetery. Visitation is Friday 7-9 PM.
