Jo Ann Gaskins, 79, of Alapaha, died Friday March 22, 2024 at her residence.

She was born October 25, 1944 in Atkinson County to the late Jeff McNatt and the late Annie Foerman McNatt. She was homemaker and for many years worked as a nurse with Dr. Sam in Ocilla. She was an excellent cook, loved working on her family farm and was a member of Fairhaven Primitive Baptist Church in Tifton. She was preceded in death by a sister:  Louise Smith; 3 brothers: Vernell McNatt, J.C. McNatt and Willie McNatt.

She is survived by her husband: Frank Gaskins of Alapaha; son: Mark Gaskins of Alapaha; 2 sisters: Joyce (James) Irions of Brookfield and Helen (Bobby) Farmer of TyTy; 2 brothers: Charles McNatt of Boston and Frank (Sandra) McNatt of Houghton, LA; 2 very special caregivers: Tammy Goddard of Alapaha and Amanda Rodriquez of Alapaha; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be held Monday March 25, 2024 at 2 PM in the Mt. Paron cemetery with the Rev. Jonathan Moseley officiating. There will not be a formal visitation.
