Joseph Allen "Joey" Cersey, 62, of Nashville, died Monday July 1, 2024, at East Georgia Regional Medical in Statesboro.

He was born September 19, 1961 in Berrien County to the late Curtis Albert Cersey and Loretha Nelms Cersey. For many years, he was employed with the J.H. Harvey Co, loved to fish and was a member of the A'New Way Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law: Howard Gaskins.

He is survived by 2 daughters: Carrie (Eric) Vickers of Collins and Ashley (Chad) Crews of Nashville; 2 sons: Chris Cersey of Valdosta and Nick (Jessica) Cardin of Adel; mother: Loretha Cersey of Nashville; sister: Joy Gaskins of Nashville; nephew: Nick Gaskins of Nashville and 9 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday July 6, 2024 at 4 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Bennett officiating. Visitation is Saturday one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
