John Edwin "Ed" Prickett, 79, of Nashville, died Monday May 28, 2012 at his residence.

He was born August 1, 1932 in Miami, Florida to the late Charles Bohler Prickett and the the late Estelle Lee Moore. He was a former employee with Nashville Mills and the City of Nashville. He attended the Nashville Church of God and was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by a brother: Robert David "Bobby" Prickett.

He is survived by his daughter: Cathy (Alan) Harper of Nashville; 2 sons: William "Billy" Prickett and Mike Prickett both of Nashville; sister: Sarah Prickett of Longmont, CO; first wife and mother of his children: Nell Prickett of Nashville; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday May 31, 2012 at 4 PM in the Nashville Church of God with the Rev. Scott Walker and Mr. Mark Stone officiating. Interment will follow in the Nashville Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM.
