John Edward Erickson, 89, of Nashville, died Thursday August 18, 2022 in the Fellowship Home of Nashville.

He was born December 7, 1932 in Ellsworth, MI to the late Ernest Erickson and the late Naomi Carpenter Erickson. He was a retired Chief Petty Officer in the United States Navy with 20 years of service and was a member of the Nashville United Methodist Church.  He was preceded in death by a son: Kenneth Erickson, daughter: Brenda Erickson, sister: Donna Groombridge, 3 brothers: Franklin Erickson, David Erickson and Wic Erickson.

He is survived by his wife: Betty Harbin Erickson of Nashville; daughter: Marie (Mike) Baldree of Nashville; 2 sons: John (Sue) Erickson of Nashville and Jeff (Cindy) Erickson of Winter Haven, FL; 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday August 20, 2022 at 5 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev Mark Addington and Rev. Danny Ray officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview cemetery. Visitation is Saturday one hour prior to the service.
