John Robert "Johnny" Drake, 71, of Nashville, died Monday July 30, 2018 at his residence.

He was born November 25, 1946 in Lowndes County to the late Robert Gordon Drake and the late Dorothy Rowan Drake. He was the owner of Island Outboard in Little Torch Key, FL and Nashville, GA. He was a member of the Nashville First Baptist Church and served 6 years in the National Guard. He was preceded in death by a sister: Diana Moore.

He is survived by 2 daughters: Stefanie Drake (Chuck) Burford of Kennesaw and Rita (Donald Cook) Drake of Valdosta; sister: Gail Dismuke of Statesboro; 2 grandchildren: Ella Burford and Gabriel Drake Cook; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

His family will honor his request for cremation. A memorial service will be held Thursday August 2, 2018 at 6 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service.
