Johnnie Faye Nix, 77, of Nashville died Tuesday August 14, 2012 in the Langdale Hospice House.
She was born January 11, 1935 in Berrien County to the late J.W. Dorminey and the late Alda Nancy Hall. She was a retired secretary with the Alapaha Judicial District Attorney's Office. She was preceded in death by a son: Allen Nix, brother: Eddie Dorminey, and a sister: Annette Dorminey.
She is survived by her husband: James Lucious "Buddy" Nix of Nashville; daughter: Judith Ann (Bill) Cooper of Adel; son: David (Kim) Nix of Nashville; sister: Glenda Sherrell Collins of Valdosta; 2 brothers: Harold Dorminey of Griffin and A.J. Dorminey of Nashville; 5 grandchildren: Jennifer Barber, Eric Barber, Matthew (Sarah) Barber, Steven Barber and Andrew Nix and 4 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday August 18, 2012 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Becky King and the Rev. Bob Ellis officiating.
Interment will follow in the Long Bridge Cemetery. Visitation is Friday from 6 to 8 PM.
