Johnny Earl Summey, 77, of Alapaha, died Saturday November 18, 2017 at his residence.
He was born December 2, 1939 in Morven, GA to the late Willie Frank Summey and the late Nellie Louise Horton. He was a fuel tank installer.
He is survived by his wife: Linda Groomes Summey of Alapaha; 5 sons: Jody Summey of Tampa, FL, David Summey of Plant City, FL, Johnny Morris Summey of Jacksonville, FL, Johnny Earl Summey, II of Alapaha and Jonathan Summey of Alapaha; 3 daughters: Angela Sandoval of Douglas, Alisha Summey of Jacksonville, FL and Amanda Summey of Nashville; 4 brothers: Robert Summey of Jacksonville, FL, Ray Summey of Jacksonville, FL, Aubrey Summey of Jacksonville, FL and Willie Summey Jacksonville, FL; 2 sisters: Lois Scott of Jacksonville, FL and Janice Brown of Catawba, NC; 22 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday November 21, 2017 at 2 PM in the Fletcher Cemetery with the Rev. Janice Brown and the Rev. Fred Lee officiating. Visitation is Tuesday from Noon to 1:30 at the funeral home.
