Johnny Wade Hendley, 68, of Nashville, died Friday, July 17, 2026, at his residence.

He was born August 31, 1957, in Berrien County to the late Rev. Johnny Hendley and Vivian Nix Hendley. He was a retired truck driver with Barfield Gas Company and a member of the Riverside Missionary Baptist Church. He loved the outdoors, GA Bulldog football, the Atlanta Braves and simply watching TV. He was preceded in death by a nephew: Gabe Hendley.

He is survived by his son: Mason (Lara) Hendley of Milner; mother: Vivian Hendley of Douglas; sister: Glenda (Ernie) Roland of Douglas; brother: Greg (Deanna) Hendley of Adel; special granddaughter: Emerie Hendley; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 6 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home. Visitation is Thursday in the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
