Johnny Wayne Watson, 60, of Ray City, died Friday May 17, 2019 at South Georgia Medical Center.

He was born November 27, 1958 in Savannah, GA to the late Willie Frank Watson and Minnie Carolyn Thompson Watson. Before he became disabled, he was a very good mechanic and  was a member of Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist Church.

He is survived by his daughter: Tasha Lynn Watson; son: Jordan Elijah Watson; step son: Ricky Cabage of Ray City; mother: Minnie Carolyn Thompson Watson of Ray City; 2 brothers: William Frank "Bill" (Harriet) Watson of Crestview, FL and Curtis Dwayne Watson of Ray City; 2 nieces: Whitney Alison Watson of Crestview, FL and Jana Rebecca (Brian) Thompson of Michigan; great niece: Emigen Skye and great nephew: Ethan.

Funeral services will be held Monday May 20, 2019 at 4 PM in the Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. J.W. Dukes III and Rev. Jim Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Poplar Springs Cemetery. Visitation is at the church one hour prior to the services.
