Jose Carlos Prida, 68, of Nashville, died Saturday, January 10, 2026, at his residence.

He was born February 17, 1957, to the late Jose Prida and the late Alicia Prida. He was a loom mechanic at Amoco-Propex and WinFab for 45 years. He was admired and respected for his excellent work ethic, from all who worked with him. He attended Union Church in Eldorado, where he dedicated his life to the Lord and was later baptized.

He is survived by his wife: Pat Heath Prida of Nashville; 2 sons: Jason (Anna) Prida of Nashville and Carlos Prida of Nashville; step son: Heath (Christal) Spradley of Adel; 2 sisters: Marta (Rev. Danny) Ray of Nashville and Olga (Gerold) Peele of West Berrien; 5 grandchildren: Secillia and Marlee Prida, Garrett and Carson Spradley and Aubree Gray; nieces and nephews: Lindsi (Ron) Holley, Gerry and Kelly Peele.

A graveside funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 2 PM in the Westview cemetery with the Rev. Danny Ray and Rev. Todd Garner officiating. Visitation will be in the cemetery thirty minutes prior to the service.
