Obituary

Joseph "Jack" Bennett beloved father and grandfather, resident of Panama City Beach, passed away on April 9, 2013 at his residence.

He was the owner of Bennett's Plumbing in Panama City Beach. He served proudly for the City of Panama City Beach on the Examining Board for 25 years. He was an Army Korean War-Chosin Few Veteran and proud recipient of the Purple Heart (2x's), Bronze Star, Korean Service Medal (4 campaigns) and others. He was a member of Battery D, 15th AAA AWBn.SP, 7th division. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years Betty, and a son: Johnny.

He is survived by a daughter: Sheryl (Bill) Woodcock; 3 sons: Mike, Ray (Janet), and David Bennett, 12 grandchildren: Kim Jennings, Heather Sulffridge, Christopher and Jason Bennett, Amber Nelson, Chelsea Gay, Megan Bennett, Corey Bennett, Michelle Braddock, Melissa Braddock, April Braddock, Frankie Johnson Barker; 15 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Sunday April 14, 2013 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Long Bridge Cemetery. Visitation is Saturday from 5 to 7 PM.
