Joseph Donzell "Joe" Chaney, 76, of Adel died Tuesday November 27, 2018 in South Georgia Medical Center.

He was born October 2, 1942 in Live Oak, FL to the late James Donzell Chaney and the late Lillian Labelle Chesnutt Chaney. He was a retired automotive salesman with the former Bosch Oldsmobile-Buick-GMC, Schwartz Pontiac and Bo Lovein Ford.  He was a member of Nashville First Baptist Church, a Shriner and Past Master of Duncan Lodge #234 F&AM.  He was preceded in death by a brother: Wayne Chaney.

He is survived by his wife: Patricia Ann "Pat" Cribbs Chaney of Nashville; 2 sons: Don (Pam) Chaney of Hahira and Keith (Loretta) Chaney of Adel; 3 grandchildren: Lauren Chaney, Drew Chaney and Christopher Arnold; 5 great grandchildren; brother: Anthony (Mary Ann) Chaney of Live Oak, FL; sister Yvonne (Scotty) Law of Live Oak, FL.

The family will honor his request for cremation and a memorial service will be held Thursday November 29, 2018 at 6 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Stewart officiating with Masonic Rites. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Alzheimer's Caregivers Time Out (ACTO) 1207 Williams Street, Valdosta, GA 31601.
