Joshua Lee "Josh" Commander, 38, of Hahira died Friday January 4, 2013 in the South Georgia Medical Center.

He was born October 7, 1974 in Lowndes County to Jerry Don and Angela Georgie Adams Commander. He was a veteran of the US Army, 101st Airborne Division, with two tours of duty in Iraq.

He is survived by his wife Amy Tillman Commander of Hahira; son, Fletcher Commander of Hahira; step son, Jacob Dunbar of Hahira; step daughter, Kaitlyn Ashley of Hahira; grandson, Hayden Kemp of Hahira; father and mother, Jerry and Angie Commander of Valdosta; brother, Sam Commander of Quitman; sister, Jessica Commander of Valdosta; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Stan and Dianne Spell of Hahira; two nieces, Veda and Mahaley Commander; nephew, Christian Commander; uncles and aunts: Joe and Ann Commander, Larry and Susan Grooms; maternal grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Keen; biological mother, Jody Bowden.

Funeral Services will held Thursday January 10, 2013 at 2:30 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Home with Rev. Keith Sandlin officiating. Interment will be in Westview Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday from 1-2:30 PM.
