Barbara Joyce “Joy” Garrison, 82, of Ray City, died Sunday, July 12, 2026, at her residence.

She was born November 16, 1943, in Lowndes County to the late Donald Wilson and the late Juanelle Starling Wilson. She was a homemaker and worked on the family farm.

She is survived by her husband: Michael Garrison of Ray City; brother: Dale Wilson of San Diego, CA.

Her family will honor request for cremation and a private family graveside gathering will be held at a later date.
