Obituary

Judge Hansel William "H.W." Lott, 88, of West Berrien died Sunday August 25, 2013 in the Southern Care Assisted Living.

He was born December 13, 1924 in Cook County to the late William Horton Lott and the late Agnes Allen. He was a former Georgia State Representative, retired Superior Court Judge for the Alapaha Judicial Circuit and had been awarded lifetime Judge Emeritus status. He was a member of St. Mary Margaret Catholic Church, an Army Veteran of WWII, Mason and Shriner. He was preceded in death by a sister, Hattie Tomlinson and a brother, James Olin Lott.

He is survived by his wife: Stella Venegas Lott of Cali, Columbia South America; son: Lynn Lott Bennett of Adel; 2 sisters: Florence Sumner of West Berrien and Katie V. Jones of Lenox; several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday August 28, 2013 at 3 PM in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Dillard Ensley and Father Freddie Angel officiating. Entombment will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery. A Rosary service will be held Tuesday at 7 PM in the funeral home chapel with visitation to follow until 9 PM.
