Obituary

Judith Marie "Judie" Rowland, 74, of Alapaha, died Thursday July 16, 2020 at SGMC Berrien Campus.

She was born November 28, 1945 in Irwin County to the late William Henry "Buddy" Rowe and the late Gearldine Hendley Rowe. She was a retired RN with Health Care Strategies and ABC Home Health for 49 years. She was known for being vibrant, kind and thoughtful where ever she went. She loved to travel and visited all 50 states. She could very much light up the room and had an incredible charisma that people were naturally drawn to. She was full of energy and will be missed more than words can say. She was a member of Flat Creek Church and was preceded in death by a son: Chris Griner.

She is survived by her husband: Ronald Rowland of Alapaha; 2 daughters: Kimberly (Steve) McMillan of Hahira and Kay Townsend of Enigma; 2 sons: Michael (Renee) Rowland of Rincon and Tim Rowland of Jacksonville; sister: Glenda Braswell of Alapaha; 4 grandchildren: Emilie Rowland, Jackson Sparks, Mark McMillan and Drew Sparks; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be Saturday July 18, 2020 at 5 PM in Flat Creek Church with the Rev. Mark Swain officiating. In lieu of flowers, make memorial contributions to the Shriner's Hospital.
