Julia Bailey Murray, 97, of Nashville passed into heaven on Monday July 23, 2018 with the loving support of family, friends, Berrien Nursing Center and Bethany Hospice care.

She was born February 6, 1921 in Ben Hill County to the late Elbert Oscar Bailey and the late Janie Gunter Bailey.  She was a loving homemaker  and the widow of O. E. "Buck" Murray who died in 1989.  She was also preceded in death by 2 sons: Billy and Melvin Murray; daughter-in-law: Linda Murray; grandson: Keith Murray; great granddaughter: Katelyn Alissa Morris; sister: Kathleen May; and  brothers: Obin, Henry, Oscar, Emory and Paul Bailey.

She is survived by 2 sons: Bobby Murray of Nashville and Larry Murray (wife Denise)  of Braselton; 2 daughters-in-law: Mary Alice Murray of Nashville and Frances Murray of Nashville; brother: Raleigh Bailey of Nashville; 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday July 26, 2018 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Bennett and Rev. R. T. Castleberry officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM.
