Julian "Jay" Franklin Patton, Jr., of Charlotte, NC died Thursday August 21st, 2025, at his residence. He was born July 15, 1979, in Fulton County Georgia to Julian "Frank" Patton and Susan Gaskins Patton.
He is survived by his co parent Mollie, his daughters, Margaret, and Katherine; his parents Julian Franklin Patton and Susan Gaskins Patton; his sister Ellen (Nathan) Stanaway and their two children Anna and Laura Stanaway.
Jay graduated from Collins Hill High School and the University of Georgia. He was the founder of Buckhorn Investment Advisors. A man of keen intellect and gentle spirit, Jay built a distinguished career as a financial advisor, where his passion for numbers and analytics served not just as professional tools, but to genuinely help others achieve their dreams. He understood that behind every portfolio and financial plan were real people with real hopes for their futures.
Jay was an avid outdoorsman who found deep joy and peace in nature. Whether hunting in the woods of South Georgia or fishing for salmon in the pristine waters of Alaska, he treasured these adventures, especially when shared with his father and close friends. He will be remembered for his quiet nature and sharp mind, and his unwavering loyalty to the Georgia Bulldogs.
Jay was a loving father to his beloved daughters, Maggie and Kate. His legacy lives on through his daughters and the countless lives he touched through his work and friendships.
Funeral services will be held Thursday August 28, 2025, in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home at 2 pm. Visitation will be held in the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Westview cemetery.
Memorials: Flowers will be accepted, or the family requests memorials be made to Nashville Methodist Church or The Rabun Chapter of Trout Unlimited-Trout Camp, P.O. Box 371, Clayton, GA 30525.
